<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the harmful gases consisting of the nonmetallic oxide contained in gases by bringing gases into contact with peat moss. SOLUTION: A casing 3 having a gas insertion port 1 and discharge port 2 is internally provided with a harmful gas removing section 6 holding peat moss layer 5, a first gas passage 4 for introducing the gases from the insertion port 1 into this harmful gas removing section 6 and a second gas passage 7 for introducing the gases past the harmful gas removing section 6 to the discharge port 2. The gasses contg. the harmful gases is inserted from the insertion port 1 by the effect of a fan 8 and is sent to the peat moss layer 5 from the upper part of the harmful gas removing section 6 through the first gas passage 4. The harmful gases consisting of the nonmetallic oxide, such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, are removed by passing the peat moss layer 5. The gases from which the harmful gases are removed are discharged outside the device from the gas discharge port 2 through the second gas passage 7 from the bottom of the harmful gas removing section 6.</p> |
