PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the sliding frictional drag between a press plate and a plate cylinder, effectively prevent static electricity from generating between them and realize the smooth execution of a plate caulking by a method wherein fine glass beads having an almost certain diameter are closely exposed on the outer peripheral surface of the plate cylinder, on which the press plate is installed. SOLUTION: On the outer periphery of a plate cylinder as the printing cylinder of a sheet-feed press, an arcuate cylinder plate serving as a base, on which a press plate 1 is to be installed, and, at the same time, a notched portion, in which a plate clamping device 2 for bitingly pulling the fore and rear ends of the press plate 1, are formed. A base film 4, which is made of polyester film or the like and on which fine glass beads 3 having a fixed diameter of about 2 to 4 hundredth mm aggregated densely are bondingly fixed, is bonded on the outer periphery of the plate cylinder. By closely bondingly expose the fine glass beads 3 having an almost certain diameter on the outer peripheral surface as mentioned above, the frictional drag between the press plate 1 and the plate cylinder is remarkably reduced and static electricity is effectively prevented from generating between them. |
