<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printer satisfactorily recording while holding a practical speed even in the case of recording by a thermal sublimable transfer by arbitrarily selecting a recording by a hot melt transfer or a recording by the thermal sublimable transfer and maintaining long lifetimes of a thermal head and an ink ribbon. SOLUTION: In the case of recording by a hot melt transfer, temperatures of respective heating elements are raised to 400 to 600 deg.C, and in the case of recording by a thermal sublimable transfer, energizations of one dots of respective heating elements are conducted by dividing into a plurality of times, and, the temperature of the elements are raised to 500 to 650 deg.C under the control of control means 25.</p> |
