PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically clean a container below a capsule and a seat part of a lid. SOLUTION: A measuring instrument to fill a capsule has a capsule provided with a hollow lower container and a hollow lid to be engaged therewith. The instrument 1 is provided with a filling assembly 7 to fill the capsule. The filling assembly 7 is provided with an opening device 39 to open the capsule in the continuously moving direction suitable for the capsule, a measuring instrument 61, and a closing device 46 to close the capsule. The filling assembly 7 is provided with a control device 41 to check that the capsule is opened, and a cleaning device 49 to clean first and second seat parts to store the lower container and lid. The control device 41 and the cleaning device 49 cooperate with each other through a central control unit 38.
