摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which is excellent in the resistance- against-coming-out-of-the-rim, without impairing the fit-in performance, which insures high contact pressure with a rim flange, and which preserves good steering stability. SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire, the sectional form of a bead seat surface 21A, which abuts on a rim bead seat R1 along the meridian of the tire is of a two-stages structure obtained by combining two inclined straight line parts 21a, 21b, while an outer surface 2a of a bead part extends from a bead heel side (a) toward the inner side in the width direction of the tire. Inclinationαof an outer side surface 2a to the radial direction of the tire is 5 deg. to 10 deg., inclinationβof the straight line part 21a to the axial direction of the tire is 8 deg. to 12 deg., and an angleεbetween the straight line part 21b and the outer side surface 2a of the bead is 120 deg. to 130 deg.. An intersection P between two straight line parts 21a and 21b is located at 40% to 60% of a bead width (L) when measured from the bead toe (b), while the sectional form of a bead core 5 along the meridian of the tire should be either a circle or a polygon with six or more sides.
