PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain natural tone quality corresponding to continuously specified pitch and to obtain pitch shift feeling having a natural tone quality change corresponding to the change in the specified pitch in the musical sound synthesizer which synthesizes musical sound parameters. SOLUTION: Frequency and strength data (tone color parameters) of musical sounds are stored in tone color parameters memories 11 to 1L corresponding to pitches PITCH1 to PITCHL. The frequency and the strength data are outputted to a selector 4 from the memories 11 to 1L as frame data under the control of frame progress control sections 21 to 2L. Under the control of a memory selection control section 5, PITCHi and PITCHi+1 are retrieved so that it becomes PITCHi <=PITC<PITCHi+1 against a specified pitch PITCH. The tone color parameters of PITCHi are outputted from an OUTa and the tone color parameters of PITCHi+1 are outputted from an OUTb. The tone color parameters of the OUTa and OUTb are interpolated by a parameter interpolating section 6 in accordance with the specified pitch PITCH. |
