PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thrust fluctuation in accelerating and decelerating an elevator car by forming a plurality of conductor pieces for forming one platelike secondary conductor along the elevating direction of the car to have such a length that a joint is positioned in the traveling section of the primary side magnetic pole opposite between the acceleration section of the car and the deceleration section thereof. SOLUTION: One plate-like secondary conductor of a linear motor is installed on the wall surface of an elevating path 1 in the range where a balance weight 6 is elevated. The secondary conductor is formed by connecting plural conductor pieces 8P1 -8P4 along the elevating direction of a car 3. The length of each of the conductor pieces 8P1 -8P4 is equal to the space between the respective floors FL1 -FL4 , and a joint 8G appears in a position which agrees with each floor FL1 -FL4 . Thus, the joint 8G of the secondary conductor is not positioned in the balance weight 6 opposite to the acceleration section h1 of the car 3 and the deceleration section h2 thereof, to be in detail, the traveling section of the primary side magnetic pole 10, so that the vibration of the car 3 due to thrust fluctuation can be reduced. |
