ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR AND ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor from which no electrolytic solution leaks even when it is used at higher temperature and humidity than the torelable level and when overvoltage or reverse voltage is applied during usage. SOLUTION: A pair of polarizable electrodes 31 and 32 opposing to each other through a separator 33 are housed in a housing space 39 of upper and lower cases 37 and 38. The upper and lower cases 37 and 38 are provided with packing 41 between their perimeters. The pair of polarizable electrodes 31 and 32 and the separator 33 are impregnated with electrolytic liquid 36. A ring-shaped separating wall 42 is in linear contact with the inside of the upper and lower cases to form a pressure adjusting chambers 43 and 44 between the housing space 39 and the packing 41.
