PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a stereoscopic model at a desired position and angle, and to display the cross-section. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic model and a reference object 3320 in a plane body structure are displayed on a three-dimensional viewer 3311. This reference object 3320 can be moved by desired amounts or rotated at a desired angle on the three-dimensional viewer by the operation of a control part. On the other hand, in this device, three-dimensional data defining the stereoscopic model are coordinate-transformed into a new coordinate system in which the reference object 3320 is defined as a reference face(Z=0) on a coordinate, and data fulfilling Z=0 are extracted from the transformed three-dimensional data as cross-section data. Then, the cross-section data are displayed on a second- dimensional viewer. |
