PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sheet feeding roller which has high coefficient of friction, is flexible and excellent in sheet conveying ability, and also has high wear resistance and excellent ozone resistance by forming a rubber layer comprising a specified material with a specified thickness as the outermost surface layer of a roller. SOLUTION: This roller 1 is provided with an inner layer 11 comprising a foam (e.g. polyurethane foam) having a spring hardness (measured with Asker hardness tester model C) of at most 15 and a surface layer 12 formed by laminating around the inner layer 11 and containing base rubbers comprising a polynorbornene rubber and an ethylene/propylene/diene copolymer rubber, wherein the thickness T1 of the surface layer 12 is at least 0.3mm and at most 40% of the total thickness (T1 +T2 ) of the layers 11 and 12. It is desirable that the average surface roughness of the layer 12 is at most 50μm.
