PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water culture process for edible burdock in which edible burdocks are cultured with a culture solution in a tank bed of a prescribed depth. SOLUTION: Edible burdocks G are cultured in a tank bed 1 filled with a culture solution 6 at a prescribed depth and the level of the culture solution is raised and lowered to the roots of' the burdocks every a prescribed time. Then, the culture solution is diluted and the culture bed 1 is kept dark. In addition, the tank bed I formed with an opaque material having a certain depth is partitioned at its middle part with a shield 3 and both partitioned beds are equipped with a submerged pump P1 , P2 , respectively. Both of the pumps P1 , P2 are allowed to actuate alternately with a timer T so as to alternately raise and lower the levels of the culture solutions in both culture beds. |
