PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which can easily and efficiently plot or eliminate character ruled lines and to provide the method. SOLUTION: A position into which the character ruled lines are inserted in designated in a document by an operating KB2. A range into which the character ruled lines are to be inserted and the constitution are decided by the operating KB2 based on the designated position. An area into which the character ruled lines are to be inserted in secured based on the range into which the decoded character ruled lines are inserted and the constitution, and characters existing in the secured area are moved.
