Bar for holding down sheet material on vehicle during transportation

The bar (110) can be arranged horizontally on an upright frame on a vehicle which carries sheet material, and has removable side stops (112) which project from it like fingers. The stops are parallel to one another, and are separated from each other, and allow sheets to be slid on end between them. Each stop has a rear end (116') which can be secured axially in an opening (114) in the bar, such that it can also be released. The openings may be in the shape of keyholes, with narrow parts (120) into which the rear ends of the stops may be inserted, so that they cannot tilt or move axially.
