Novel rods for treating plants, consisting of a dimensionally stable and easily erodable structural substance produced from one or more matrix formers, one or more agrochemical active agents, possibly one or more penetration-enhancing substances, possibly one or more abrasive solids and possibly one of more additives. Also disclosed is a process for producing said rods and their use in plant treatment.
