The conversion system allows the value of inserted coins in one currency to be converted into a corresponding money value for a different currency via an electronic currency converter (3). This totals the value of the inserted coins after verification by a coin checker and converts the obtained sum into a second currency value, used directly as an electrical signal for controlling the vending or amusement machine, or entered in a payment value memory (5).
