The invention relates to an armature winding for alternating current motors, wherein each armature coil consists of several parts (VI, VI'), the armature coil parts are offset against each other and are arranged on the armature (4) forming a same pole. Said armature winding enables efficient commutation both during the operation and the braking mode of the motor. The inventive armature winding is specially used in alternating current motors which are utilized with manual electric devices fitted with dangerous tools.
