Printing machine doctoring unit

A support (15) in the form of an endless rubber belt of roller-dispensed film is provided between the lip (11) of the doctor blade and the doctoring roller (12). The film is led round below the doctor box (2) and its roller (13) allocated a holder (17). A solvent bath is also fitted as well as a belt wiper (22) followed by a collector trough (23), with the trough and wiper possibly integrated. A used-ink collector tank is fitted with an exchangeable insert which along with the wiper or trough or tank is exchangeable. The doctor box can move along the printing machine off a drive. The cleaning device has its own spray nozzle and stock tank, using a control unit to advance the film or offset the doctor box and or actuate the nozzle.
