Mounting LED displays and other devices on printed circuit boards

A process for mounting electronic devices including an LED display on printed circuit boards (PCB) by the surface mounting technique (SMT), comprising (1) selecting a number of required devices including an LED display device, (2) positioning the devices to form the LED device at suitable places on the board and (3) fixing the devices on the board by SMT. Also claimed are (i) LED displays made by this process; (ii) a process for the production of LED displays, comprising (1) selecting the required devices, including a reflector, a number of connecting conductors and light-emitting diodes, and a sealing compound, (2) mounting the conductors and diodes on the PCB, (3) fixing the conductors and diodes on the PCB by SMT, (4) subjecting the reflector to heat treatment, (5) sealing the reflector and the PCB with epoxy resin and (6) hardening the sealant; and (iii) LED diodes made by process (ii).
