Video image representation arrangement for television signal

The arrangement has intensity modulated light sources (10,20,30) for producing light beams (12,22,32) of different primary colours. There is a combining device (38) producing a single light beam (40) and a deflection device (41,42) for rastering the image by sequentially illuminating several lines. The combining device has at least one optical element with defined dispersion characteristics, enabling a white light beam to be separated into several colours at different angles. The elements are arranged, and the light sources are directed so that each primary colour is identical to the colour separated from the white light beam.
