Flame cutting machine for pipes

摘要

A flame cutting machine for open-ended hollow bodies, especially pipes (21), comprises: (i) a chuck (23) for holding the pipe (21); (ii) a flame cutting head with burner (9) and a drive and control system (13,15,17) for relative movement between the pipe (21) and the burner (9) to position the cutting jet; and (iii) an extraction system (25,27) extending through the open end on the inside of the pipe (21), and forming a slag catchment zone (33) adjustable to the cutting jet position, to remove the slag and fumes blown by the cutting jet to the inside of the pipe.
