Replenishment system for cryogenic fuel

First and second tanks (D1,D2) one inside the other accommodate the fuel, and are connected together by one or more pipes (5,6) containing a valve (d). The second tank is smaller than the first, but larger than that (D3) of the vehicle to be replenished. One or more further pipes (1,2,4,7) run between the second tank and the replenishment union (K). The second tank can be at least partly insulated from the first. Means can be provided to generate pressure in the first and/or second one, typically by a heater (E) in the supply pipe.
