Shade for building facade

The shade comprises two sets of polarising flat components which are movable between overlapping and fully-covering positions. One of the sets of components (3) extends over a large number of windows (5) in the facade. This has a predetermined coefficient of shading, e.g. below 0.3. One or more sets of components can extend over the entire area of the facade, and the components can be parallel to each other and also to the facade. Alternatively, those in one set can be parallel to the facade, while those in the other are inclined to it. Relative movement can be such as to allow overlapping of components with different directions of polarity.
