Powder composition for preparation of instant yoghurt-based food, by addition of liquid, comprising dehydrated yoghurt powder, lactic cultures and /-1 milk protein, also includes soluble bifidogen fibres. The fibres comprise short chain fructo-oligosaccharides. The composition comprises /-10 million lactic cultures per g of powder composition. The lactic cultures comprise a dehydrated revivable culture chosen from Lactobacillus Acidophillus, Streptococcus Thermophilus, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus and/or Bifidobacterium Bifidum.
