Remote information system via television channel. Which has a computer system 1 set up in an administrative centre from which text and/or images and/or sound information is sent to a plurality of users via a television channel, the information being received at the television receiver(s) 11 simply by changing to the relevant channel. The computer system 1 is connected via a data transmission network 4 switched via modem 2 or another system of communications to a distribution element 3 that includes a computer which is connected to a control circuit 5, which converts the information received into a video signal and modulates it on the corresponding channel, feeding it to the community aerial distribution system 9, 9' or 9" of a community, commercial company, single-family residence, etc. In addition, other equipment can be activated from the administrative centre or from the distributor 3, feeding a signal that is received by the control circuit and which can activate elements such as video-players and motorized television cameras. <IMAGE>
