A semiconductor laser device includes a semiconductor laser element portion having a single or a plurality of semiconductor laser elements (1) and emitting a plurality of laser lights from the front and rear facets of the resonator, a lightguide layer (5) which guides the plurality of laser lights emitted from the rear facet and conducts wave front conversion against the light bundles during the guiding, and a plurality of photodetectors (31, 32) which detect the wave front converted laser lights from the lightguide layers as monitor lights, provided corresponding to the respective laser lights emitted from the rear facet.
