<p>A tethered display device (11) with at least two vertical panels (18) connected at a top seam (14) and a bottom seam (15). The panels (18) are preferably cloth or other soft and flexible material. The panels (18) and seams (14, 15) define at least one tubular channel through which air can flow. In preferred embodiments, there are multiple channels in each device (11). Preferred embodiments will also have at least one soft airfoil (13) horizontally disposed between and connected to the two vertical panels (18). In the simplest airfoil embodiment, the airfoil (13) defines two tubular channels, one above the airfoil (13) and one below the airfoil (13). In each airfoil embodiment, an airfoil (13) defines in part at least one of the tubular channels. In some embodiments there are multiple airfoils (13). The device (11) may be employed optionally in combination with an artificially enhanced or induced windsource.</p> |
