The wheel consists of a basically cylindrical rim (3) and a flange (2) for fastening to an axle. It is made in three sections (10,11,12), a central slightly flat section (10), an intermediate conical section (11) and an outer conical section (12) which faces in the opposite direction and is joined to the rim. The sections of the flange can me made from different materials or have different mechanical properties, and they are joined together by laser welding. The sections are cut out from metal sheets with different thicknesses or mechanical properties, pressed to the required shape and joined concentrically to one another and to the rim. |
