The ski boot consists of a plastics shell made in one piece with a sole which has a flat thrust face interacting with the ski surface, and an insole. The under-surface of the boot sole has studs or pillars (15,16,17) located in the thrust zones of the foot, such as the heel (C) and the first (B) and fifth (A) metatarsal. The boot sole can have a thrust zone extending over the areas covered by the thrust zone of the foot, having lugs which correspond to the first and fifth metatarsal zones. In addition, the insole has a rigid element covering the same three thrust zones.
