<p>A method for processing citrus to selectively removing phototoxic furocoumarins from a first-pass effective citrus-derived substance in which the step of extracting the citrus derived substance is done with a mixture of at least one C2-C4 alcohol and water. The citrus-derived substance is effective for maintaining anti-first-pass activity after the extraction.</p> |
