The operating device has a spring-loaded foot pedal (1), depressed in different directions for operation of a number of regulators (5,7,8) positioned beneath the pedal, each used for controlling a respective function of the car radio, e.g. the tuning and volume. The regulators may be mounted on a base plate positioned below the foot pedal at a given relative spacing, with the foot pedal supported from the base plate via a central pivot bolt (3) allowing it to pivot in a number of different directions.
