The invention relates to method for the expression ofhelminthic integral membrane aminopeptidase antigens. The enzymeantigen in nature is parasite gut membrane bound enzyme or afragment thereof having similar enzyme and/or antigenic activity,wherein mammalian host cells are transfected with a vector adaptedto express said enzyme antigen or fragment thereof, characterisedin that prior to transformation the host cells are substantiallyfree from endogenous enzymes having the same function and the samecell membrane integration or lack of integration, as said parasiteenzyme antigen or fragment thereof.
