<p>A vertical blind assembly includes two housings (10,20) secured together so as to form a carrier frame. Two worm gears (31,41) are rotatably received in the housings (10,20) and engaged with each other. A post (32) is coupled to one of the worm gears (31) for rotating the worm gear. A beam (44) is slidably engaged in the other gear (41) so as to be rotated by the post (32). A number of casings (51) each includes a gear (55) slidably engaged on the beam (44) and each includes a pole (52) rotated by the gear (53) and for supporting slats (58). The casings (51) are secured to the housings (10,20) by a number of couplers (60) which may be easily disengaged from the housings (10,20).</p> |
