In a thin strip casting unit with a molten metal feed device, a carrier belt for molten and solidified metal and side limiters closely adjacent the belt, an oscillation system is connected to the feed device and/or the side limiters to allow oscillation preferably perpendicular to the belt travel direction or, in the case of the side limiters, simultaneously perpendicular and parallel to the casting direction. Preferably, the side limiters are set at an adjustable angle to one another and consists of one or more water-cooled hollow profile sections. |
