In a voice multiplexed broadcasting processing circuit, which tunes a voice multiplexed broadcasting signal applied from an antenna, changes tuned voice multiplexed broadcasting signal to an intermediate frequency and after that, processes it to the voice multiplex signal, and amplifies processed voice multiplex signal to output it, a voice multiplex mode switching method thereof upon an abbreviation signal includes the stapes of: judging whether a main power of a television is turned on through a micro computer, and judging whether there is a pilot signal; checking a level of the pilot signal through the micro computer to judge whether the size of the checked level is under the reference level; and automatically switching the present voice multiplex mode to a manual mode through the micro computer, when the level of the pilot signal is under the reference level.
