The horizontal frequency hold adjusting circuit of a monitor comprises a frequency/voltage converting unit for converting inputted horizontal frequency into voltage, a shaping unit for shaping the voltage outputted from the frequency/voltage converting unit, an incline controlling unit for varying a determined reference incline by voltage outputted from the shaping unit and outputting a hold signal having the incline varied according to each horizontal frequency, and an amplifying unit for amplifying the hold signal adjusted in the incline in the incline controlling unit, whereby simplifying the construction of a circuit and curtailing a cost and also providing a stabilized circuit operation through an easy adjustment of a hold signal.
