An input image converting section (4) generates second image data (S2) continuing in a sub-scanning direction based on image data (S1). An image processing section (3) provides a predetermined image processing to the image data (S2) to generate third image data (S3). An image output section (5) forms a duplicating image of an image on the document by simultaneously using a plurality of laser devices (L1 to L4) corresponding to each pixel based on the third image data (S3). Image data whose plurality of pixels is simultaneously input is arrayed and adjusted to be applied to a multi-beam output.
