<p>A system and method for renaming a title of a window that has been created and is currently displayed on a computer screen (602, 604, 606, 608, 610, 612, 614). When a user wants to rename a window's title (602), the user first brings the window into focus; that is, he makes the desired window the active window. The user then presses a hot-key, or key combination (604, 606, 608). Upon receiving the hot-key (610, 612), a pop-up window prompts the user for a new window title. After entering the text for the new window title, the window displays the new title entered by the user (614). In addition, the new title is reflected in a task list of executing applications.</p> |
