<p>A method of manufacturing a liquid heating vessel (2) is disclosed in which a sheet metal blank (110) is formed into a tubular shape, the opposed ends (10) of the blank are joined, e.g. by butt welding them together. A handle portion (44) is placed over the joint to hide it. A metal base (72; 200) having a heating element on its underside is attached to the tubular vessel wall, e.g. by soldering with a low-melt solder. A plastics skirt (20) may also be provided.</p> |
