PURPOSE:To improve the resolving time less than a photoelectronic pulse width by extracting bit data at every regular interval of the continuous plural bit data corresponding to the photoelectronic pulses stored in a shift register as effective bit data. CONSTITUTION:The font of fluorescence discharged in response to the exciting optical pulse radiated on a sample is converted into photoelectronic pulses by means of a photoelectronic multiplier 10 and the pattern of a photoelectronic pulse train having the information corresponding to the produced time of the font is produced in a shift register 14. A data extracting circuit 58 composed of an AND gate 50, monostable multivibrator 52, inverter 54, and monostable multivibrator 56 is housed in the shift register 14. Of the continuous plural bit data corresponding to the photoelectronic pulses, bit data at every regular interval are extracted as effective bit data. Therefore, even two overlapping photoelectronic pulses can be counted certainly in a separated state. |
