<p>Exterior rearview mirror which is protected from mechanical damages by entering the interior of the vehicle (manual version) consists of two cylinders (1 and 2) and armature (20). Cylinder (2) with its narrow part enters cylinder (1) wherefore the semi-circular concavities (8 and 9) from the base of cylinder (2) cover the semi-circular elements (4 and 5) of cylinder (1) when the rearview mirror is out. The vertical concavities (15 and 16) of the cylinders (1 and 2) form a continuous vertical concavity. The window is to be lowered to its minimum level, the rearview mirror is taken inside by hand wherefore the semi-circular concavities (10 and 11) of the cylinder (2) come over the semi-circular elements (4 and 5) and instead of the vertical concavity (16) on its place comes the concavity (17) of the cylinder (2). The window goes through the vertical concavities (15 and 17 or 16) through the cutting (22) and the vertical element (23) of the armature (20). The four-wire cable (19) of the electromotor for adjusting the mirror passes through the openings (3 and 7) of the cylinders (1 and 2). The system consisting of the two cylinders and the armature is fixed to the body of the vehicle. Two caps (capsules), (47) at the outside and (48) at the inner side, are foreseen for protecting the system from possible damage.</p> |
