<p>A valve trim is provided for a flow control valve wherein a plurality of perforated plates (21) are stacked together. Each plate has a series of hole patterns formed therein, including a repeating pattern of four offset rectangular holes (81-84). As the plates are assembled, each plate is rotated in the same direction so that the hole patterns create tortuous pathways that include multiple episodes of change of direction, sudden contraction and sudden expansion of the high pressure fluid as well as forcing the fluid to flow through two or more of the plates.</p> |
