Isobaric loudspeaker

An isobaric loudspeaker for use in audio systems is disclosed. The isobaric loudspeaker includes a central mounting bracket, a pair of opposed first and second diaphragm assemblies attached to the mounting bracket, and a single magnet assembly positioned between the first and second diaphragm assemblies for providing a magnetic field in the vicinity of the voice coils of both of the diaphragm assemblies. The magnet assembly presents a central hollow chamber extending between and connecting the opposed speaker assemblies for permitting air to pass freely between the diaphragms of the opposed speaker assemblies.
