The system comprises a dry granular material which consists of a mixture of grains that contain glass and one or more other granular materials. The latter is composed of alkali metal, together with carbonate, bicarbonate, silicate or hydrogen silicate. The grains containing glass can be of glass granulate or powder, and can account for 10 to 50% by weight of the granular material, which can be blasted against the wall by a hand-held lance with sprayer head.
