摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to properly perform a torque-reducing control, under various driving conditions, of a torque inputted into a transmission in a hybrid vehicle in which the transmission is provided between an engine and a motor-generator and driving wheels. SOLUTION: If the torque reducing control can be performed by a motor- generator (when answer is 'yes' at SA7) in a torque reducing control in the inertial phase of a power-on upshift, the motor-generator is used from SA7 downward to perform the torque reducing control. Unless the motor-generator can perform the torque reducing control (when answer is 'no' at SA6), a torque reducing control is performed by the retard angle of an engine from SA14 downward within the range which satisfies the condition of SA13.
