PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make convenience of a user and protection of copyright compatible in the case when digital signals are copied. SOLUTION: Digital signals of low quality subjected to A/D conversion on the basis of a sampling frequency of 48kHz are outputted as they are through a digital output terminal 23, while they are subjected to D/A conversion by a D/A converter 15 and outputted through an analog output terminal 17. Digital signals of high quality subjected to A/D conversion on the basis of a sampling frequency of 96kHz are subjected to D/A conversion by a D/A converter 16 and outputted through an analog output terminal 18, and they are not outputted as the digital signals. In the case when a bit stream is allowed to be copied, it is copied only with copyright data.
