PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing unit, a integrated circuit and its self- diagnosis method by which a fault location is easily located. SOLUTION: Prescribed test pattern data are selected and fed to a pattern comparison section 23 as selected data PIR, PIG, PIB. A discrimination pattern discrimination section generates parallel discrimination pattern data FAB, FAR, FAG with equal patterns to prescribed parallel test pattern data with the selected data PIR, PIG, PIB synchronously with the selected data PIR, PIG, PIB and gives them to the pattern comparison section 23. The pattern comparison section 23 compares the selected data PIR, PIG, PIB with the discrimination pattern data FAB, FAR, FAG to detect a fault location of the selected data PIR, PIG, PIB on a transmission line. |
