PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a variable-angle probe of which a flaw-detection angle is made variable without using a semicircular wedge which is larger than a vibrator by changing the angle, with reference to an object to be inspected, of the vibrator which oscillates ultrasonic waves by an elastic-body wedge which is sandwiches between an upper-part solid-body wedge and a lower-part solid-body wedge. SOLUTION: The lower-part solid-body wedge 2 which is rigid is installed so as to close an opening part in a case 1 which has the opening part at the lower part. The elastic-body wedge 3 which is composed of a polyethylene gel and which is flexible is arranged at its upper part. An upper-part solid-body wedge 74 which is rigid is arranged at its upper part. One end of the wedge 4 is hinged to the case 1. An angle adjusting rod 5 is attached to the surface on the other end side of the wedge 4. The adjusting rod 5 can be inserted or pulled out. A vibrator 6 which oscillates ultrasonic waves is fixed onto the wedge 4. When the adjusting rod 5 is inserted or pulled out, the height of an end in which the wedge 4 is not hinged is changed, and the angle, with reference to an object to be inspected, of the vibrator 36 is changed. It angle of inclination is adjusted in such a way that a flaw-detection angle becomes a desired angle. |
