PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the judgment of crimping of a terminal by monitoring the height of a crimper in the crimping of a terminal and the load added to a driving means, and comparing the detected load with a preset standard data to judge the quality of the terminal crimping. SOLUTION: Prior to the operation of a terminal crimping device A, reference data for operating the device A and data for judging quality of terminal crimping are preliminarily stored in the data housing part within a driver 34. The current control part within the driver 34 supplies a fixed current in the state where a servo motor 4 is stopped on the basis of the data stored in the data housing part, and changes the driving current when the motor 4 is rotated in the caulking state by a crimper 14. For example, when the wire to be crimped has no core wire in terminal crimping, or crimping is performed without peeling, the feed current is set higher or lower than in the crimping of a normal wire. Thus, whether the crimping is normal or not can be judged by the changed of the feed current corresponding to the height of the crimper 14 through the height sensor within the driver 34. |
