PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve deodorizing efficiency and to reduce the generation of a smell peculiar to a garbage disposing mechanism by a method wherein the surface of a heating means is coated with a catalyst to deodorize a smell component of smell gas. SOLUTION: A blast means comprised by a motor 8 and a hot-air fan 9 is attached on an inner wall 7 of a cover 5. Further, a heater 2 is arranged at the lower part of the cover 5 and the surface of a heater 2 is coated with a catalyst 10 to deodorize a smell component from smell gas, such as steam and a smell component generated from a drying chamber 1, through vapor deposition. An oxidation catalyst, such as platinum, platinum-palladium, and nickel, is used as the catalyst 10. Further, when the thickness of the catalyst 10 is increased too much, the catalyst is easy to peel, and approximate 5-10μm is desirable. Since the generation of a smell during disposing is reduced by a catalyst on the surface of the heater, dispersion of a smell at the time of opening of a cover is suppressed. |
