PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize electric power at a mobile communication station by recording the incoming call history of the station in each time band in each day and automatically changing the period of intermittent reception between the station and a fixed station in accordance with the frequency of the past incoming calls in each time band. SOLUTION: A history updating section 2 updates incoming cell history in each time zone and an intermittently receiving period deciding section 4 decides an intermittently receiving period based on the information recorded in a memory 3 by means of the section 2. An internal timer 6 performs intermittent reception based on the period decided by the section 4. At a mobile station, the receiving frequency of incoming calls in each three-hour time zone set by dividing one day by eight is first recorded. At the moment the first day in which the recording is first made changes to the next day, the schedule of imtermittently receiving periods in the next data is decided and, in the next day, intermittent reception is made based on the schedule. Therefore, electric power can be utilized efficiently at the mobile station. |
